I'm getting back on track....
Well as some of you know I had a stricture, this is when the scar tissue is over zelous and makes the hole where my new tummy tum and small intestine (eww) meet. I suspected as much when I started having a hard time keeping liquids down and then throwing up.
Anyways, I had an endoscopywhatsis done, (they sedate me and put a little camera and a balloon down my Schwalerin hole and strech out the opening with a balloon). The procedure was a success! Its pretty neat that they can do this without major surgery. I felt releif almost immedietly and things have been going better since. Although I had a sore throut because I came out of the sedation a little and was trying to talk. I remember the surgeon telling me to put my hands down and don't talk; I was trying to ask them to take the scope out just for a minute! And then I was trying to say sorry!
So it hurt more than it should have but hey! better than surgery!
My doc said my weight loss might have slowed a little because my body might have gone into starvation mode because I got dehydrated and only got around 250 calories in for a day or so. But now I'm back on top of my diet and feeling fine!
Things are going good, I am just getting kind of tired of food in general! Its so weird, I used to not be able to wait to eat, now I have to remind myself because I am just not hungry. I can tell when I NEED to eat, when I just feel tired and run-down, and I get thirsty when I have not drunk enough water. I'm just not hungry the way I used to be. That said, food still tastes good; many people told me that my tastes would change, I have not really experienced that so far, things that I liked before that I CAN eat taste the same as before but I sure can't eat as much!

Its Starting!
I am really losing weight! I should have posted this last week; but anyhow when I went to the doc for my two week appointment,
I had lost 16 lbs!
In two weeks!
Thats amazing!
I've never ever lost weight that fast. (seems like I used to gain it like that)
I was actually a little bummed until my surgeon said I was right on track. I should lose 30 lbs this month and for a few more months. Especially if I really try hold off eating lots of carbs and exercise. (its so good for you! Who knew!)
So I was pretty happy with that.
The way my clothes fit is the first thing I've noticed that's different. Most everything seems to fit the way it should, instead of being sqeeeeezed into. My face is thinner and my feet actually look dainty! Me? Dainty feet!? WOW!!
We had as adventure in trying to go and ride our bikes this weekend. Unfortunately I should have actually sat on my bike before we left the house. My seat kept tipping back and falling down, making it impossible to ride, and of course Glynn brought all the tools except the one he needed to tighten the seat. So we loaded back up and took it to a bike shop that fixed the problem in about 2 seconds. We could have gone back but Izaiah was grumpy so we called it a day.
We did however go to a Dia De Los Muertos art exhibit at the Bath House Center down on the lake before we left for good. Overall it was pretty good. Izzy like looking at the pictures and the alters we really neat. Its free!! I recommend it!
Anyways, I need to go eat some cottage cheese. GO PROTEIN!!!!!
Love you all.

Here I am!
Well its been one week and 2 days. Sorry I didn't post earlier but man I have been wiped out. I'm back at work today and its ok but I am soooo tired. I'm eating my tomato soup from La Madeleine for lunch; I highly recommend it, super yummy.
I read on the net that I am in a state of ketosis, meaning my body is burning fat, giving me dark pee and sickly sweet breath. (Glynn says I smell mediciney.)
The week went by at a pretty leisurely pace, Mom taught me how to knit, we made a cool felted scarf, and I napped a lot. The first few days I had so much gas I felt like I was a balloon! And My insides made gurgles so loud they could be heard across the room!
I've been drinking so much water I think my eyeballs will start floating soon but I hardly really have to pee at all. I think my body is really using everything I put into it now.
I've found that sipping from a straw is much easier than drinking from a water bottle, my new camelback bottle with a bite valve straw is my new friend.
So far my diet consists of: water (sometimes with Crystal Light), Carnation Instant Breakfast with skim milk (sooo glad I can tolerate milk so far), cranberry and apple juice (watered down), V8 juice, sugar free popsicles, super thin instant potatoes, yogurt, and tomato soup. I thought I might try some green pea soup tonite, mmm peas.
So far things are going pretty good, I feel achey and tired but I'm in good spirits. Man I can't wait until I don't have any more Lovenox shots (blood thinner) They really burn.
I think I have already lost some weight, my clothes are looser and my belly pokes out less. My ankles are really thin and feminine, and my super cute pedicure makes my toes and feet look even cuter! Thanks Mom!!!!
(Can I just say that I don't think waxing my face will ever become part of my regular regime. The Nail salon girls talked us into waxing our eyebrows and soon my whole face was being waxed. YOUCH!! I was all red and shiney and then it was itchy for the next two days. My eyebrows dooooo look nice, and Mom's do to, but I don't think its for me. Too much pain for beauty, I will stick with my tweezers thank-you)
I can't say I'm ever really hungry although the thought of eating double cheesburgers doesn't disgust me. Mostly I want to eat salty and savory things, kind of hard since it seems everything I CAN eat is sweet. But its not terrible.
Man my office chair is making my back sore today, it never did before, must be related.
I will try to post some pictures for further documentation. Hope you guys are having a great day!

The day has arrived!
This is it, my last nite before surgery. I have some mixed feelings, one of the first things I'm feeling is a little scared 'cause ya know, surgery! I've also been feeling like, man I should have eaten more oreos!! The realization is setting in that this is really tomorrow and I'm really gonna be a broth sipping freak for 6 weeks.
Anyways, other than that I miss Izaiah. He's over at our beloved babysitter's till Tuesday. He was driving us crazy today bein' whiney but I still really miss his wiggeleyness.
We'll be heading out of here at 4:30 in the morning to get there by 5:30 o we are headed to bed soon.
Wish me luck!
